Virtual design meeting scheduled for 8-story apartment set to replace Market Arms

Later this month there will be a design review meeting for the large apartment building being planned for 2401 NW Market St.

The corner lot is home to Lunde Marine Electronics, the former Market Arms bar, and the former Sunset Hill Vet Clinic (now at 9000 Holman Road).

Plans are in the works to turn 2401 NW Market into an 8-story, 179-unit apartment building with ground-floor retail and parking for 113 vehicles. The developer is Deal Investments, LLC and the architect is Urbal Architecture.

The design review meeting is scheduled for June 27 at 7 p.m. and will be held virtually. It’s open to the public and you can register here.

The 2401 project is diagonal from another major development going in at the site of the Oct. 2019 fire on NW Market St that destroyed several businesses. That project (2318 NW Market St) will also take out a few additional businesses, including Ballard Station bar and Sushi I.

Just west of 2401 are two additional projects: 2417 NW Market St is owned by Carmel Partners and is being turned into a 171-unit apartment building. J. Selig Real Estate is planning 120 units on the next property over, 2501 NW Market St.
