Pickle at the Palms (3435 15th Ave W) is entering its final construction phase ahead of its planned opening in Interbay next month.
General Manager Kyle Schraeder told My Ballard the facility is currently in the “punch list” stage, with all courts completed, nets installed, and final details being finished before opening.
The first set of events at the new pickleball gym will be for members, with activities scheduled for Aug. 12-14. The public opening event series is planned for later in August, with the facility expected to open to the general public by the end of the month. Regular fall programming is scheduled to begin in early September.

Schraeder said cameras with replay capability have been installed on every court, and the building’s lounge spaces are being finished. The facility’s liquor license will allow beverages throughout the building, and both floors will be available to rent for private events.
The two-story building has been under construction since 2025. Each court has its own speaker system for private events, while the separate lounge includes its own audio-visual system for meetings, presentations, or team gatherings.
The on-site café will be operated by Mainstay Provisions, which also has locations in Ballard and South Lake Union and will provide food service and catering.
Schraeder said Pickle at the Palms will continue with its pay-to-play model rather than an unlimited monthly membership system. The facility is also offering a limited Rally Pass option for frequent players.
Hours are expected to be similar to those previously announced, with courts open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and the café operating until 9 p.m. on weekdays and 10 p.m. on weekends.
Seattle Storm co-owner Ginny Gilder and her family announced plans for Pickle at the Palms in 2025. The 20-court indoor pickleball facility is located near the BECU Storm Center for Basketball Performance in Interbay and includes court-view lounges, a pro shop, showers, parking, and on-court replay technology.
